Essential oils quality
It is important to understand oil grades or in simpler terms oil quality as to get the most benefits.
Essential Oils can be natural or synthetic, as follows:
👎 Grade C | Synthetic and fragrance Grade
Stay away from low-quality synthetic and fragrance grade oils as they contain harmful chemicals and synthetic ingredients.
👍 Grade B | Food grade
These are natural oils that might have some additives, consider using food Grade oils for internal consumption, as a flavoring in food, toothpaste, gum, candy, etc.
👍 Grade A | Therapeutic or medicinal grade oils
I highly recommend to always use therapeutic and/or medicinal grade oils as they are pure, undiluted, and steam-distilled, preserving the benefits of the plant they are extracted from.
How to blend and mix essential oils?
- Water: The simplest way to use essential oils for aromatherapy is to mix them with water to make a room spray or body spritzer.
- Carrying oils or Base oils: you can also combine essential oils with a base oil to make face, body and hair oils.
👉Essential oil Storage tips:
Light and heat can negatively impact the quality of the oil and make them less effective.
Use a dark-colored bottle for storage and keep it in a cool, dark place, and out of direct light
